Florencia Ceriani’s main areas of practice are focused in Commercial Law, Corporate, and Banking Law & Regulation, both locally and internationally. Florencia gained vast experience in providing counseling and assistance to regulated entities involving their daily operations, in compliance of Central Bank of Uruguay’s regulations and rules governing capital markets. Also, Dispute Resolution and Contracts involving her areas of expertise.

Florencia has participated in several instances to becoming a Certified B Corporations collaborator, advising companies on the ESG (Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance) standards and practices to become Certified B Corporations.

Florencia Ceriani’s area of practice involves her participation in Due Diligence processes in the area of Project Finance and M&A, providing legal counseling to both local and international companies and organizations, such as banks and other financial institutions, assisting clients in Private-Public Partnership (PPP) infrastructure and road projects, project financing structure and SPV. She regularly provides legal assistance to local and international entities in areas involving the Financial System and Capital and Securities Markets.

Previous Experience

Before joining Estudio Dr. Mezzera, Florencia worked as an associate lawyer in two of the most noted law firms in Uruguay, assisting their clients involving the Financial System and Capital and Securities Markets, and providing legal advice to clients on Corporate Law and Environmental Law; also assisted clients the Civil Law litigation area.
